This video has nothing to do with parties (at least until I can use it as a theme idea). I love this video so much, it’s so magical, it cheers me up even when I am having a bad day! I hope it does the same for you… Hugs and xoxoxo

Today, my sister Sophie and I ventured to Old Town Pasadena and Just when we thought we couldn’t walk another step we stumbled on this three month old New Tea House. Lucky for me it was tea because I’m a tea fanatic and I have to say I have never had an Ice tea like that WOW, So delicious! The Leeches Oblong was so unusual and organic mixed with fresh juices . I seriously could have drunk a gallon. They have such great tea lovers gifts too! www.birdpick.com

If you’re ever in Brussels, apart from going on a chocolate hunt, you must go to the store of Avant-Gardner – Daniel Ost in the trendy part of the Sablon District. His floral creations are truly a work of art! I’ve been a collector of his many books and a huge fan of his work! So you can imagine my excitement when a bride walked into my office holding this picture and asking me to use this as inspiration for her wedding decor! So my talented floral designer and I are already hard at work creating a sample. I’ll keep you posted.. See Daniel’s work at at www.danielost.be

I just love the hand made paper things made by DSharp studio. Paper tiaras with old fashioned glitter, candy containers and cake toppers just to name a few. They have amazing detailing and an antique feel! Stunning party decor for tables. www.dsharpstudio.com

A bride recently asked me for my recommendation of authentic French Bistros in LA… So I thought I’d share one of my favorites. Of all the Francophone restaurants I’ve tried in LA, nothing embodies authentic Parisian Bistro life than Cafe Figaro on Vermont Ave. Whenever I get homesick, I venture to the cafe for lunch…the real Maison de Gatti chairs, Zinc bar, the authentic Baguettes, croissants; the food is delicious and most of the waiters are french… www.figarobistrot.com

When my clients find out I’m Belgian and a chocoholic I’m often asked whose my favorite chocolate Artisan. That’s a hard question because there are so many in Belgium, after all chocolate is a way of life but I have decidedly picked chocolate artist Pierre Marcolini as one of my favorites since being in the same room with his chocolate creations can be dangerous for a chocoholic. He has won the world championship of pastries in 1995 with an amazing ice cream cake. So I asked him to recreate this cake for my Wedding in 1996 a gorgoues 6 tiered cake surrounded by meringue. His cake caused a huge fiasco, as guests were fighting over seconds of cake.I had ordered double the usual amount for the number of guests.. ..it was crazy. He is the nicest and most down to earth guy and a true artisan. He now only creates only chocolate and his popularity in Brussels has exploded, he has stores all over Europe, Japan and even New York and ships everywhere his site is www.Marcolini.com
Some of his chocolate flavors are really avant-garde…My favorites are the flowers and herbs flavors..ummmm!!
